Introducing: Matt Bowman

We’re excited to welcome Matt Bowman to the MHP Blog team!

Matt Bowman is a doctoral candidate in American religious history at Georgetown, and holds a master’s in American history from the University of Utah. He’s interested in Christian theology, evangelicalism, fundamentalism, and occasionally dabbles in Mormon history, noir, and the movies. He’s published scholarly work in Religion and American Culture: a Journal of Interpretation, Fides et Historia, The Journal of Mormon History, the John Whitmer Journal, and the Utah Historical Quarterly, and has crossed genres into film reviews and political punditry in other venues.    Right now, he is one chapter into a dissertation exploring lived religion in New York City during the fundamentalist-modernist debates of the early twentieth century.
